An event by the Wilmington Fourth of July Committee

About the event

What began as a modest fundraiser has grown into a premier community event, proudly hosted on the Wilmington Town Common. Originally intended as a one-time fundraiser, the Fall Fest Event’s overwhelming success quickly established it as a signature annual tradition.

Celebrating Fall for

40+ Years

How Fall Fest Started

Wilmington Fall Fest was launched in 2023 as a fundraiser to support Wilmington’s Fun on the Fourth—a 40+ year community tradition celebrating both our nation and our town. Following the pandemic, the Celebration needed a sustainable way to fund long-term initiatives and ensure its future.

Committee President Patrick Giroux combined his experience in large-scale community event production with classic seasonal elements, and with the support of the Fourth of July Committee, Fall Fest was created.

Today, Fall Fest has welcomed over 25,000 attendees, making it one of the largest single-day fall festivals in Greater Boston.

Friends, neighbors and families come to explore more than 100 artisan, small business, and food vendors, enjoy family-friendly activities and live entertainment, and experience a vibrant community atmosphere.

Proceeds from the event support both Fun on the Fourth and the Special Olympics Unified Game Day—an initiative especially meaningful to the Committee.
